Pepis refuge was founded by Alan and Jane Brian in 2005
..................
They had no intention of starting a refuge, but, after finding a dog hanging from a tree on their land they decided that they would do what they could for the abandoned and ill treated dogs in this part of Spain. Since opening, the refuge has provided shelter for more than 400 dogs and re-homed more than 300.
Pepis refuge aims to ensure that:
All dogs, rescued and boarded, have a safe and caring living environment.
There is a regular and nutritional diet.
Veterinary care is provided as and when needed, including chipping vaccinations and neutering.
All efforts are made to re-home as many dogs as possible, both in Spain and in wider Europe via Belgium and Finland
Jane and Alan
Pepi’s refuge is solely dependent upon voluntary donations and monies raised through its charity stall and other events. We are also dependent upon and grateful for the support of volunteers who aid the work of Alan and Jane. Pepi’s is committed to working closely with other refuges and charities. Finally, thank you for visiting our site. If you would like to find out more about our work at the refuge you can visit, telephone or e mail us. Just click here

As we picked him up to rush him to our vet his tail dropped off. There were pieces of stone embedded in his skin and his bottom lip was hanging...
