Callum

Sex: Male

Breed: Galgo

Size: large

Weight: 20-30kg

This handsome young lad was horrifically found as a bag of bones, he was soo weak he couldn’t even stand. This was a very sad and an extreme case of neglect, luckily we got to him when we did as we don’t believe he would of survived much longer. Callum was in very poor condition and it was clear to see that this poor boy had been badly neglected for some time. However he is now unrecognisable from when he arrived and is a healthy and happy boy who is eating well and growing into a strong lad. Callum really enjoys his time spent in the play pen racing around and going for walks, although he equally enjoys getting made a fuss of. Despite his ordeal he has progressed exceptionally well and is now ready to find a family of his own that will love and care for him, take him on walks and have a garden for him to run around in and he also enjoys a sunbathe. And at the end of the day he would love to curl up next to you on the sofa.

If you think you could offer this handsome young boy a forever home where he can experience what its like to be surrounded by loving people who he can trust, then please consider Callum.

Kiara

Sex: Female

Breed: Galgo

Size: large

Weight: 20-30kg

Kiara was found in the middle of the road late one night and the temperature was only -2. The poor girl was shivering and cold, we settled her into a bed for the night with lots of blankets. Despite being abandoned Kiara adores human company and loves to be with you, she is extremely loving and just wants to be loved in return. She also enjoys her food and is a very happy girl always wagging her tail and pleased to see you. If you are looking for a loyal companion Kiara is your girl, who would be waiting for you to get home and shower you with affection. Could you be that special person that Kiara needs?

Aurora

Sex: Female

Breed: Galgo

Size: large

Weight: 20-30kg

This little beauty is Aurora, she is getting used to being at the refuge and is interested in meeting new people and pokes her nose out so that she can smell who you are. Aurora is waiting for her forever person/family where she can enjoy the good things in life. We can imagine her enjoying running and playing around in a field and could potentially be re-homed with another dog. She has never been around children, therefore she would need to be homed with older children. Aurora is a calm, and very elegant young girl who is looking forward to meeting a loving family, that she can love back and spend the rest of her life with.

Sanchez

Sex: Male

Breed: Galgo

Size: Large

Age:

The same old story Sanchez was abandoned outside the refuge, and was very underweight. We settled him in with a nice warm bed and a good meal and he is settling in well. Sanchez is a very handsome boy with unique markings and has soo much love to give, although a little hesitant at first once he gets to know you he is the sweetest boy. He is now enjoying his food and is gradually putting some weight on, we hope for him to find a  home where he is loved and can enjoy the creature comforts in life he so deserves.

Shelly – adopted

Sex: Female

Breed: Galgo

Size: Large

Shelly was brought to the refuge by her hunter. Despite being a little disorientated she is very loving and affectionate. Shelly is now enjoying exploring the refuge and is settling in well, she is such a sweet girl and we are sure she will not be waiting long for a new forever home.

Rheanna – reserved

Breed: Galgo

Size: Large

Weight: 20-30kg

Born in: 2015

This is the lovely Rheanna, she is still only a young dog, but sadly has obviously started out life with a bad experience with humans, as can be very timid. But slowly but surely, she is progressing and adores the other dogs. Rheanna Is best friends with another Galgo (Greyhound) called Cindy, who now share a kennel together. These two enjoy having a race about in the play pen and then crash in their beds for some sunbathing. Cindy has helped Rheanna to realise that we are not going to be cruel to her and that its ok to come forward for a stroke too. Rheanna is a very sweet girl, who continues to trust more and more each day and enjoys a cuddle once she has figured you out. She is a calm, gentle girl who is well behaved and walks very well on the lead. Take a chance on Rheanna and give her the loving home that she deserves, we know you won’t regret it.

Cindy

Born in: 2014

Size: large

Weight : 20-30kg

This is Cindy, such a gorgeous girl, as well as her good looks she is affectionate and fantastic with other dogs, and shares a kennel with best friend Rhianna. Cindy enjoys her walks and playing outside and is well behaved walking on the lead. Don’t be mistaken, Greyhounds don’t require loads of exercise and enjoy the luxuries of life spending long lazy afternoons on the sofa. Cindy is a happy and healthy girl and would very much love to be part of a family.

Marlow

Sex: Male

Breed: Galgo

Size: large

Weight: 20-30kg

Born in: 2015

Marlow was no longer wanted by his hunter, often the case with so many other galgos (greyhounds) in Spain. He may have been discarded, considered no longer any use by his hunter, but we can tell you he is an absolute angel. Marlow is only around 2 years old (2017), and is an active and smart boy who likes nothing more than to stretch his legs at the beach or the park. He’d suit an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion. Marlow has a great temperament and is an all-round fantastic dog, and deserves his chance at happiness in a forever home. If you have a space for Marlow in your heart, then please don’t hesitate to contact us

Corley

Sex: Male

Breed: Galgo

Born in: 2013/2014

Size: Large

Weight: 20-30kg

This handsome boy was abandoned at the refuge and we noticed that his front leg seemed to be deformed. Our vet confirmed that it is likely that he would have been born this way, and that it does not cause him any pain or discomfort and he thoroughly enjoys his walks. Corley is a wonderful boy, with a typical greyhound nature – laid-back and gentle, although has plenty of energy for a game. He’s happy around other dogs and will ignore cats – he’ll make the ideal addition to a family home. He is such a special boy with a great character.

Petra

  • Female
  • Galgo
  • Size: large
  • Unknown
  • Weight: 20-30kg
  • Colour: White

Petra has a sad past and has clearly been ill-treated, sadly this is the case for many dogs that are used for hunting in Spain. However, Petra is slowly starting to get used to having her own bed, regular meals and learning that nobody will ever hurt her here at the refuge. She is still progressing and is looking for a quiet home and a patient owner; who is willing to spend time with her to continue to build her trust. We would advise a home without children, as she is still easily frightened at the moment. However, older children may be an option. Petra does enjoy being stroked but is hesitant at first, she is also happy with other dogs and could be rehomed with another dog. Another dog may give her more confidence and could help her to settle in quicker. Nevertheless, in a loving home environment, we believe Petra will flourish into a confident young lady. She needs the promise of a life where she never has to be scared ever again.

If you can help us rehome this amazing girl, then please get in touch!!
