PROJECTS

July 2011
The much needed large outside exercise area for the dogs is now up and running
Secure 2m high fencing
Kennels on the left and exercise area on the right

Animals In Distress (A.I.D.) have now come on board to help us in 2011 and are sending us some food supplies for the dogs every month, they are networking to try to home some of our dogs and also trying to raise awareness about our refuge here and abroad. We wish to thank Joe from Animals In Distress (A.I.D.) for producing and maintaing our new website free of charge.

Visit their website at http://www.animals-in-distress.eu

Since they opened the refuge Alan and Jane have, with the help of shading at pepis refugiovolunteers, completed a number of projects to improve the living conditions of the dogs.

New kennels have been built and the majority of dogs have their own kennel now.

A much needed regular water supply has now been established for the kennels.

Shading, donated by CHAIN has been put
up over the kennels to keep off the worst of the summes heat.

There is a new dog shower area, where
people can come to wash their own dogs or the dogs at the refuge can have a shower.

We are always looking for items to sell to raise funds to help the dogs, so if you have anything to donate please contact us.

Projects still to complete include:

  • Landscaping the site
  • Building new kennels
  • Erecting more secure fencing around the site

If you think you could help with any of the above we would be happy to hear from you.
